Philosophy

We live in difficult times. Work demands can feel overwhelming. Expectations of partners, children and extended family can feel confusing.  We may be faced with situations and temptations that are troublesome.  Easy access to alcohol and drugs for both adolescents and adults may result in self-destructive behavior.  Unfortunately, we often apply old standards and responses to these situations and discover that they are neither healthy nor helpful.

I have more than 30 years of professional experience working with adolescents and adults.  My purpose is to help you face your difficulties, achieve personal growth and develop the strengths and skills that enable you to deal effectively with personal issues.  Our work together takes place in a safe, supportive environment in which we collaborate to help you find the courage and confidence to handle the situations that challenge you.
